Meet the founder
Alfie Batt
Born and raised in Devon. Over a decade on the tools - gutters, fencing, decking, paint, the lot. I started The Devonshire Handyman because too many people I knew had been let down by tradesmen who didn't turn up, didn't tidy up, or charged more than they quoted.
I treat every house I work on like it's my nan's. That means turning up when I said I would, doing the job properly the first time, and leaving the place cleaner than I found it. I'm fully insured, plain-spoken about pricing, and I won't sell you something you don't need. If a job's outside what I do, I'll tell you - and probably know who to call.

If we're running late, you'll know about it before the appointment, not after.

Hoovered, swept, and the offcuts gone. Every time.

If something changes, we tell you before we change it. No invoice surprises.
